Holland Tulips and Windmills Day Trip from Amsterdam

A tulips and windmills day trip from Amsterdam gives you the unique opportunity of seeing tulips bloom in winter! Your day starts with a guided tour of the tulip greenhouses where you'll be able to see literally millions of tulips in all stages of growth. Upon arrival you will enjoy coffee or tea with cake before you head off with your expert guide who will show you around and give you information on everything tulip! Before leaving the tulip farm you will receive a gift bag with tulip bulbs so you can watch these typical Dutch flowers bloom in your own garden.

Next stop is the world-famous "Enclosing dyke", a spectacular strip of land that divides two great masses of water. Here, your guide will tell you about the historic Dutch relationship with the water and how this has shaped the country. Don't forget your camera to catch some truly incredible views.

Your first stop of the afternoon will be a tour of a fully working windmill. Make sure you save some room from lunch because you'll also get the chance to bake your own traditional Dutch waffles.

The final stop of the day is Zaanse Schans, known as "the windmill village". Aside from the spectacular sights, you'll tour a typical Dutch cheese farm and have the opportunity to taste some of the cheeses yourself before heading back to Amsterdam.
