Course Times & Dates
Our beginner climbing courses take place at the Joshua Tree National Park, Indian Cove Entrance. Unless indicated otherwise, all courses are full day courses, usually meeting at 9am and going until sunset.
These courses are held on only a handful of days throughout the year, however the schedule is flexible if there is a minimum of 4 people interested in booking this activity.
Climbing To the Top
Our beginner climbing course is designed to familiarize you with the basic principles of rock climbing and rock climbing techniques, as well as basic gear review, risk and safety management, route grades and their difficulty ratings, top rope climbing, and the history of the sport.
After ground school is done, we get rockin! Top rope routes from 30-100 feet are setup and we climb the rest of the day, practicing technique, learning correct movement, and having fun! The course is perfect for first time climbers and gym climbers transitioning to outside rock.
About Our Instructors
To become one of our instructors, it takes a lot more than technical skills. It requires a desire to inspire people - a desire to provide freedom and personal happiness. Our programs are only of the quality that they are because of our team. Our instructors have undergone dozens of hours of extensive "in-house" training, regardless of prior experience. We require all of our guides to have a wilderness medical certification. Overall, we are here to make sure your experience is fun, safe, thrilling, and unforgettable!
