Billy Fried - (Founder) Billy is a lifelong Funtrepreneur. A soccer and lacrosse player at Amherst College, Billy has traveled the world as a journalist. He's lived in Hawaii, Milan, Paris, Tokyo, New York and Los Angeles before settling in Laguna Beach. Along the way he worked in advertising, wrote a children's book and several screenplays, founded a magazine and launched a kayak/surf company. This founder of Kijubi recognizes the potential for an online marketplace to find all the fun and exotic things he liked to do.
Kilay Reinfeld - (Founder) Born in South America, raised on the island of St. Maarten and schooled in South Florida, Kilay naturally developed a passion for the ocean and love for being outdoors. His interest in technology was evident by the time he turned 12, when he started tearing apart and reassembling his family's computer. With a natural entrepreneurial spirit and keen sense for web-design, he had founded a profitable Internet web-hosting corporation by the age of 17, providing freelance design services to several local businesses. When he's not writing code, Kilay can be found rafting white water, climbing mountains, boating, jet skiing, riding donkeys through the grand canyon, sailing in the Caribbean or fishing in the waters of South America.
Michael Kelly - Born landlocked in the Midwest, Mike caught the travel bug early and had been to 49 states, Europe, Canada and Mexico before graduating high school. Moving to Northern California at the first possible opportunity, Mike honed his business skills as a concert promoter and learned the ropes of the tech industry while working with startups and Fortune 500 companies at a Silicon Valley PR firm. Having rafted tons of whitewater, climbed 14er's in Colorado, hiked through the Swiss Alps, trekked across the Serengeti and soaked in the waterfalls at Kalalau, the stamps on Mike's passport tell the story of a person who is always looking for what adventures lay around the next bend.
Julie Berry - Julie was born and raised in Southern California where she never had to travel far to hit the beach or appreciate the natural beauty of the outdoors. When she's not busy keeping Billy and Kilay in line, she enjoys traveling, going to concerts, and exploring the coastline with friends. Whether she's jumping out of a plane, being pulled behind a boat or at the club for lady¡¯s night, her hair will always be perfect.
Alora Ashlie - Born in Arizona and raised on the Garden Island of Kauai, Alora is definitely in her element when she's in the water. An avid surfer, kayaker, swimmer, and diver, she also sings with a band and is a pretty mean salsa dancer. In what little spare-time remains, she can often be found in odd positions while training to be a yoga instructor.
Jerry Bloch - Jerry brings over 25 years of broad-based legal experience to the Kijubi team, balanced between private practice and senior-level, in-house positions with Wells Fargo Bank, The Grupe Company and Pacific Monarch Resorts. A dedicated Yoga practitioner, beach volleyball ace and all-around cycling fanatic, Jerry can usually be found on his bike, playing his djembe at a drum circle, or romping on the beach with his dogs Little Girl and Juney.
