Things to do on Father's Day in California 2009

Father’s day falls on June 21st this year, which is a Sunday. This is the day to spend with dad doing something fun, different, and exciting. At Kijubi.com, our intention is to offer a one-stop-shop for people to find and book these adventures with ease. So, let’s get to the bottom of this. What do we recommend to do on Father’s day this year? Here are some of our most purchased activities from the past years for dad’s special day:

Indoor Skydiving – This is a super activity for dad and the kids. You start off with a 30 minute video training. It’s not the most exciting, but it shows you everything you need to know about skydiving in general along with some tips and tricks for indoor skydiving. We have three locations in California where you can go Indoor Skydiving: Hollywood, Union City (near San Francisco), and Perris. This is an inexpensive way to have an amazing time doing something unusual that everyone will love. Here are a couple of reviews our customers have left for their indoor skydiving experience:

I had a great time. I was expecting it to be harder than it was. It was so much fun! The instructor my group had (Foti) was great. This was a fun experience. Totally worth it.

Authentic Military Flight Simulator (Anaheim, CA) – I am sure most dad’s will definitely love this one. You have the opportunity to sit in a cockpit and have dogfights with the whole family. Up to 8 people can play at the same time. Best of all, it only costs $49 for 40 minutes and $69 for 60 minutes. This is a must try for everyone.

I knew I wanted to do something special and different for our 2 year anniversary. My fiance loves airplanes. So I thought what better way to let him experience flying than to book him a day on a flight simulator. I googled it and found the two websites. O

Full Day Fishing Trip (Newport Beach, CA) – My father always used to take me fishing as a child. Now that I am older, I know I can take him fishing. Some of the best catch of the season happens in June. For example, the common catch includes Rock Cod, Halibut, Calico Bass, Sand Bass, Albacore, Yellowtail, Barracuda, Bluefin Tuna, and Bonito. For under $70 for the entire day, you just can’t go wrong.

San Francisco CityPass – The San Francisco CityPass concept is simple: A booklet contains tickets to San Francisco’s best attractions at almost 50% savings. That’s right, you pay only $59 (for a $113 value)! It includes the following:

  • Blue & Gold Fleet Bay Cruise: 1 one-hour cruise
  • Aquarium of the Bay: General admission
  • SF Museum of Modern Art: General admission
  • California Academy of Sciences: General admission
  • Steinhart Aquarium: General admission
  • Option ticket: Choose to visit either Exploratorium: general admission – OR -
  • Shared ticket: Visit both Legion of Honor and de Young Museum (both attractions must be visited on same day)

PLUS – Muni & Cable Car 7-Day Passport: Unlimited transportation on Muni cable cars, street cars, and buses for 7 consecutive days!
