<li>Choose a beautiful calm, clear morning or afternoon.</li>

<p>What to bring?</p>

<li>A regular or video camera with a zoom function</li>
<li>Sun glasses and sun screen</li>
<li>A jacket, open ocean is often colder than the coast</li>
<li>Rubber soled shoes, boat decks will get wet</li>
<li>Snacks, a picnic, something to drink</li>

<p>What to look for?</p>

<li>Scan the surface of the water</li>
<li>Look for a burst of water from a whales blow-hole</li>
<li>Look for the glassy or foamy footprints whales and dolphins leave in the water</li>
