Knott's Soak City San Diego
Located just south of San Diego in Chula Vista, Knott's Soak City offers a great way to beat the heat of our warm, Southern California summers. The theme of the water park is inspired by the California surf culture of the 1950's, with old Woodie cars, surf music, the roar of the water and the smell of tanning lotion. Soak City is all about thrills, chills, and making a big splash!

Pacific Spin: Four person raft ride. 48" height requirement.

Balboa Bay: Wave Pool. Life jacket is required for anyone who is less than 48" in bare feet, or is an inexperienced or non-swimmer.
Sunset River: Lazy river ride. Life jacket is required for anyone who is less than 48" in bare feet, or is an inexperienced or non-swimmer.
Gremmie Lagoon: Children's pool and activity area.
Dick's Beach House: Family funhouse with two junior body slides. 42" height requirement.
Tykes Trough: Kiddie slides. Must be under 48".

Along with fun rides and attractions, Soak City San Diego has several restaurants with great food and refreshing drinks! Choose from places like Casa Ortega, which has fantastic and authentic Mexican food, or perhaps Mrs. Knotts' Fried Chicken Express for some finger lickin' fried chicken. If you're on the go and just want to grab a quick bite, stop off at Salty Dogs for a hot dog, or Surf Daddy's Food Hut for some snacks. Whether you want to sit down and enjoy a delicious meal or you're on the go, Soak City has something for everyone.

Frequently Asked Questions
I'm just going to watch the kids swim; I'm not getting in the water. Do I still have to pay?
All guests entering Soak City must pay an admission fee. Regular admission prices apply.

Is there a parking fee?
All day parking fee is $8 for autos, and $12 for Buses and RV's.

Can I bring a cooler or my own food into the park?
Outside food, beverages, glass containers, and coolers are restricted from entering Soak City. Small hand-held coolers containing water or other sports/hydrating drinks are allowed.

Do you sell food in the park?
Soak City offers food venues to meet all tastes. Options include hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, pizza, burritos, sub sandwiches, salads, fried chicken and chicken bowls. A variety of beverage products are served at each food venue. Food carts and snack and beverage vending machines are also located throughout the park.

Do you have lockers?
Lockers are available in a variety of sizes. Prices range from $5 - $7 depending on the size. A $4 key deposit per locker will be required in addition to rental fees. Lockers are located in various areas of the park for all-day use.

Do you have chairs or lounge chairs in the park?
Chairs and lounge chairs are provided free of charge throughout the park, and are available on a first come first serve basis.

Are there shaded areas in the park?
There are shaded structures and trees that also provide shade. Chairs are available in the shaded areas on a first come first serve basis.

Is there anything to do for toddlers?
Tykes Trough with pint-sized slides is especially geared towards children under 42" tall. Dick's Beach House is a fun, water-activity play structure. Kids under 42" tall can also enjoy the Lazy River and Wave Pool while wearing a life jacket and accompanied by an adult.

Are life jackets provided?
Life jackets are provided free of charge. Adult and child sizes are available at various locations in the park.

May I bring my own flotation device?
Personal flotation devices are restricted from entering Soak City.

Are inner tubes available?
Inner tubes are available free of charge at the tube slides, wave pool, and lazy river. The inner tubes must be left at those locations when not in use. If you would like your own personal inner tube, all-day tube rentals are available for $5 each.

What is the water temperature?
The regular water temperature ranges from 74 to 76 degrees.

What should I remember to bring?
For your protection and comfort, Knotts Soak City recommends that you bring sunscreen, sunglasses, beach towels and sandals. If you forget any one of these items, you can purchase them in our Wipeout Surf Shop inside the park.

Attire and Personal Beach Equipment
Proper swimwear is required. Guests who enter wearing long pants, denim, swimwear with rivets, buckles, metal, or plastic ornamentation will not be permitted in the pools or activity areas. Flotation devices, lounges, barbecues, glass containers and related items are not allowed inside Soak City. Men's and Women's changing rooms are provided, and lockers are available for a small fee. Tubes are provided at all attractions where required. Life vests are provided at no charge.

Safety
All aquatics staff are certified in CPR, first aid, and lifeguarding. A First Aid station is located inside the water park. As safety is everyone's responsibility, inappropriate or unsafe behavior will not be tolerated and is subject to immediate removal from Soak City Water Park.
