Las Vegas Off Road Tour Information
This tour, expertly guided by our friendly staff, will take you through one of the most beautiful parts of Nevada - Valley of Fire State Park. This unique area is known for its spectacular rock formations. The park gets its name from the rock features that appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun's rays. Fine examples are rock art (petroglyphs), created by the ancient Anasazi people, which can be found at several sites. The park's natural beauty has been used in many movies, TV shows and commercials.
Complimentary Pick-Up in Las Vegas
We offer round-trip transportation from anywhere in Las Vegas! Or, if you prefer to drive yourself to our facility, address and directions will be provided on your E-Ticket confirmation.
Las Vegas Valley of Fire
The area you'll be riding in has been featured by numerous magazines as one of the top off-road riding areas in the United States. This wonder of nature can only be described as breathtaking. While you will occasionally encounter Big Horn sheep and other wildlife, the Valley of Fire is world renowned for its beautiful rock formations and red sand. It is really red, not bright brown. Very few pictures truly do it justice.
Both the State of Nevada and the BLM are very protective of this fragile environment and the delicate ecosystem. It is a common misconception that the desert is indestructible. This is far from true and the governing authorities want you to have an enjoyable tour, however there is a distinct need to tread lightly and observe the posted speed limits and no access zones. We take great pride in being the only approved dune buggy rental operation and fully support the "tread lightly" program.
NOTE: The Valley of Fire is a "tread lightly" zone and, as such, is a slow-paced scenic ride around a trail loop approximately 15 miles long. The tour is conducted at your leisure, so the duration is typically 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
Our Guides and Vehicles
We offer top of the line 1-seater ATVs, 2-seater Rhinos, and 2, 4, 5 and 6-seater Desert Racer dune buggies. If you prefer to ride rather than drive, we can arrange for you to ride with a guide.
We take you through the Logandale trail system which brings you into and through the most picturesque parts of the Valley of Fire. Our custom made buggies are easy to drive and a perfect way to see a different side of Las Vegas.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far are you from the Strip?
Our facility is located at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, which is only 15 miles from the Strip (15-20 minute ride up the I-15). Our tours include complimentary pickup/dropoff from anywhere in Las Vegas, so the only driving you'll be doing is through the magnificent Valley of Fire!
What is the age requirement to be a passenger?
Our minimum age to ride as a passenger is 4 years old. Everyone must wear a full face off-road helmet during their adventure, and it's just too much for a small child to ride around off-road with the additional weight on their neck. If your 4 year old normally requires a car seat, bring it along and you can use it in the buggie.
What is the age requirement to be a driver?
Since our dune buggies have a low center of gravity and are extremely stable, we allow drivers 16 and up with a valid driver's license (or 15 with valid driving permit and parent/guardian in the vehicle). While our Rhinos and ATVs are very wide and stable and 4wd, we require drivers be at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license.
What do I need to bring?
Bring yourself, that's it! Everything is included and we've got unlimited complimentary bottled water to keep you hydrated while you're with us. We will never try and assault you with extra fees like fuel. Even transportation is included!
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you're comfortable in, and keep in mind that you'll get dirty. The biggest thing to AVOID is flip flops or sandals as they'll tend to fall off your feet when driving. We recommend wearing pants or jeans as opposed to shorts.
