See these endangered cats and the Florida Everglades in ultimate luxury.
We offer the only luxury tour of the Everglades. The adventure starts when we pick you up and lasts a full 8 hours. As you settle into the leather seats and air-conditioned comfort of the Hummer, enjoy an informative video on the eco-system and wildlife that you are only moments away from experiencing firsthand. But this tour is not only about luxury - it's about trying to find one of this state's protected treasures.
Chosen as Florida's state animal in 1982, the Florida panther is a highly endangered member of the puma family and the only type of cougar to inhabit the Eastern United States. Only 80 to 100 panthers are believed to still inhabit Florida, in an area that is 5% of their historic range. Intense efforts have been underway to save this species from extinction since they were first placed on the endangered species list in 1967. Rest assured that although the Hummer is large, our drivers are very experienced and would do anything to avoid hitting one of these creatures.
Everglades: America's Only Sub-Tropical Wilderness
The Everglades are sometimes called the "River of Grass," which is exactly what they look like. They span nearly half the entire State of Florida and were designated by UNESCO and Ramsar Conservation in the 1970s as one of only three wetland areas of global importance. Home to dozens of federally threatened and endangered species, the Everglades are the only place on Earth where alligators and crocodiles exist side by side. Due to the rugged terrain, comparatively few visitors truly get to see the Everglades. Our Everglades experts will make sure that you get the most out of your visit here.
Bonus - Airboat Ride
To help you truly get into the Everglades, we'll also take you on an airboat ride. These ingenious watercraft consist of a boat propelled by a giant fan. Believe it or not, it's extremely practical and the best way to get around a swamp. But hang on - they go a lot faster than you may think!
About the Hummer
An air-conditioned Hummer is the perfect way to see the Everglades with luxury. You wouldn't want to to go off-roading with just any vehicle. Go all out and ride in the best of the best. Based on the original military design of the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee), Hummers have a full 16 inch ground clearance and are tough enough to be driven during combat. The specialized design of this vehicle guarantees safety and efficiency while cruising around the crazy terrain of Southern Florida.
Don't worry about bringing lunch - it's on us. The price of the tour includes a delicious lunch and non-alcoholic beverages. Chow down on a fresh sandwich from a local deli, natural potato chips and the real treat - a stick of alligator meat. Plenty of bottled water is available. Guests can decide at which point in the tour they would like to have lunch, and have the option of eating lunch inside the vehicle or picnic style.
